Indi Yuyai, in the Inga de Mocoa language means The Ancestral knowledge (Yuyai) of the Father Sun (Indi).​Indi Yuyai is a center for cultural education and aims to continue the work of its ancestors by preserving the ways of the Inga de Mocoa spiritual tradition. The objective of Indi Yuyai is the recovery of indigenous ancestral medicine, the protection, preservation and recovery of nature, sacred sites, ancestral wisdom, and knowledge of Amazonian plants of indigenous cultures and peoples in Colombia and the bordering countries. Situated in the mountainous jungle of Putumayo, Colombia, Indi Yuyai is a part of the ancestral homeland of the Inga de Mocoa tribe. Indi Yuyai is a territory of 55 hectares of forest and jungle.Indi Yuyai is currently raising funds to acquire the surrounding 140 hectares to expand this mission.​
This Project is situated within the mountainous jungles of Putumayo, Colombia, the foothills of the Amazon. A territory that has been the home to many indigenous tribes who have lived, stewarded, and protected these sacred lands thoughout the ages.



As a Center for Cultural Education, Indi Yuyai welcomes individuals and groups from around the globe to learn about the traditional ways of the Inga tradition through teachings of indigenous plants used for healing, artisan crafts, music, ceremonial rites and much more.





Indi Yuyai is a project created and cared for by Taita Sebastian Jansasoy and his wife, Angela Montoya.
TAITA JOSÉ SEBASTIAN JANSASOY
Taita Sebastian is a spiritual guide and traditional indigenous doctor, with an approximate trajectory of 30 years, originally from the Inga de Mocoa ethnic group, in the Putumayo Department of the Colombian Amazon. He began his training in the ancestral wisdom of his people at the age of 7, with various masters of the Inga, Siona and Kofán peoples, starting with the Taita Jacinto Quinchoa (†) and continuing with the Taita Francisco Piaguaje (†) for 8 years, and then training for 17 years with the Taita Querubín Queta (†). In addition, he studied academic studies in Law, Project Formulation and Evaluation, Human Rights and International Relations.​
He is currently an advisor to indigenous peoples and councils in public policies, conflict resolution and is the founder of Colombian social and political organizations, always acting in defense of the environment and Mother Earth. He is also a lecturer on education, human rights and social processes of indigenous peoples, nationally and internationally. Above all, Taita Jansasoy is indigenous, with a great spirit of serving and guiding humanity to be able to bring an awakening of human consciousness.​
